Marty Hunt has been Sound Designing productions for mm productions since November 2000. He has been a Sound Engineer within the industry for over 20 years, and previous to his arrival at mm productions started his career as No2 Sound at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield. Following this he was offered the post of Deputy Chief Electrician / Resident Sound at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester, were he not only designed the Sound for every production, but was also Lighting Designer for two Main House productions. He was then offered by Cameron Mackintosh Ltd the position of No2 Sound on 'Phantom Of The Opera' at Her Majesty's Theatre, London where he stayed for 2 years, before being offered No1 Sound on the production of 'Phantom' at the Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh. Since then he has been Sound Operator/Engineer on numerous West End & No1 Tours including, 'Blood Brothers' (Phoenix Theatre, London & UK Tour) & 'Return To The Forbidden Planet' (UK Tour). His Credits also include Sound Designer & Operator for various producers and artists including - E&B, Bill Kenwright Ltd, Clare Teal, Ken Dodd, Helen Shapiro, Frankie Laine, Helen Reddy, Larry Adler, Lee Evans, Brian Blessed, Paul Nicholas & Michael Ball to name but a few. He has also worked for BBC Northern Ireland, Ulster TV, has worked in Germany and Palm Springs, California, and has also commissioned Sound for various 'Princess Cruises' ships. He has designed Sound for various Musicals in most of the UK's No1 Touring Houses, and, most recently he was Sound Designer the UK Tour of 'The Thorn Birds' (Director - Michael Bogdanov / Muscial Director - Michael Morwood), Aberytswyth Arts Centre's Production of 'My Fair Lady' and 'The King & I'. Graham joined mm productions in May 2005, after working freelance as Production Sound Engineer for the previous 3 years on most of mm's Musical Theatre productions. Previous to his work with mm productions, he worked in Sound on various productions touring the UK and Europe. He has been involved within theatre for over 15 years, and although he specilises in Sound he has also vast experience in all aspects of theatre including Flying, Riging, and Electrics. His main (and a rare attribute for a Soundy) is a love of keeping the muso's happy in the Orchestra Pit - as they will tell you! Aaron Noble - Production Sound Engineer / Sound Operator |
