WHAT WE DO

Below is a brief resume of what you might expect if you ask us to provide the sound for your production. This is obviously a guide, as we treat each client individually

The Planning Stage

This involves us getting involved at the earliest possible moment, discussing with the Producer, Director and MD what their ideas are, visiting the venues and liasing with the local technical staff, coming to rehearsals, sorting out the Radio Mic Changes and Recording, Collating and Editing the sound effects.

The Get-in/Technical Rehearsals

From the start of the Get-In our crew will Rig/set-up the sound equipment and tune the sound system to check that all seats in the auditorium are covered. The Cast will be soundchecked during the Technical Rehearsal (we also always have a session with the cast to inform them of Radio Mic changes etc). The Sound Effects will be plotted in the technical, and any adjustments to the sound system or sound effects will be acted upon in time for the Dress Rehearsal. The Orchestra is usually soundchecked before the Dress Rehearsal (unless they are at the Tech). The final sound balance will be rehearsed in the dress, and notes taken in preparation for the first night.

The Show

During the run of the show, we will liase with the Producer and Director and make changes as necessary. At the end of the final performance, we will de-rig and load the equipment away.
