Sound Systems - The Small Conference back to systems main page

The small conference requires intelligible voice reproduction at very moderate levels. There may be a requirement for music playback in some situations, which is usually from CD or perhaps Minidisc.
The Yamaha Mixer/Amp listed below has 12 inputs, enough for 8 mics and 2 stereo inputs for CD or Minidisc etc. It also has great EQ for good control of the overall sound of the speakers and microphones.
The main spokesperson can be provided with a radio mic as listed below (either lavaliere or handheld) as he/she will probably need to move around.
The three Pro49Qs provided are for the chairmans table. The other Hand Held Radio Mic listed would be for the audience to use for a question / answer session. We would also suggest a Shure SM58 mic on a cable as a backup.
The Qube STK speakers have a wide (110 degrees) horizontal coverage, as most conference rooms tend to be wide. We suggest using 4 speakers and placing two at the front and two further back in the room, therefore enabling you to adjust the rear pair independently from the front pair. This will enable you to reduce the level of the front pair so not to deafen the people in the first few rows.
