REPLAY
What is a Sampler and what are they used for?

A sampler is a device that lets you record or sample a lot of separate sounds, and then play them back independently of one another. This is useful, both in music production, where a sampler can be used to mimic another instrument, or in theatre sound effects playback, where the sound effects can be triggered either from a keyboard (one key for each sound), or from a computer MIDI sequencer (such as G-Type). Also note that 1Mb of memory gives ten seconds of mono sampling @44.1kHz
