| The DME 32 is one of the new Digital Signal Processors that allow the operator to configure their own system via a computer interface. The unit shown above provides the processing power and the audio to digital conversion and the audio ins and outs, as well as storing 2 configurations and associated scenes (each configuration can have up tp 99 scenes). The computer runs the DME Manager program and connects to the DME via RS232/RS422. The program can be used 'offline' to configure your set-up. See the table below for a list of the components available. Once configured, the set-up can be downloaded to the DME, edited in real time (ideal for technical/dress rehearsals), and then the computer is removed, leaving the DME to carry on. Configuration and Scene Changes can be done via MIDI or the GPI connections on the rear. Click to see the rear connections. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The above table is a selection of the possible components, for example, the crossovers have many variants depending on Filter slope and crossover type. The number of components you can have at one time depends on the DSP capacity available - the DME Manager software has a meter that tells you how much you are using. When combined with a computer, the DME is the ideal solution for controlling and managing large sound systems. |
