For the performances, Peter Snell had a small red Go button which he pressed to start each number. This button was connected to the remote start input of the mm productions Stop Box. This box was programmed to send a MIDI Machine Control (MMC) Stop command after the end of each number on the DR4, and then to locate it to the start of the next number. Therefore, all the operator had to do at the start of the show was to check the DR4 was located to the start point of the first number (The Oldest Established). Both Peter and the drummer had headphones (Beyer DT100), powered from a Furman SP20 headphone amp. The click track went from the DR4 into an input strip on the theatres Soundcraft K3 mixer, and this was routed via an auxiliary output to the Furman SP20 located in the band pit. The vocal tracks went to the 2 on stage EV Sx200 speakers located stage left and right and also to the front of house PA. |
