Attaching Radio Mic Heads - 5 - Fixing To An Actor With Hair - 1
2. Fixing To An Actor With Hair

In this situation it is again important to try and position the mic as centrally as possible, but concealing the cable in the hair. This can be achieved by using thin cord elastic (available from any haberdashery shop in both Black & White) as a hair-band and winding it around the mic head cable as shown.
Great Tip! - Soaking white cord elastic in 'Tea' (and therefore 'dying' it) will greatly help to coceal the mic/elastic in the actors hair!

The mic head is then wound onto about half of the loop....

Finally, tie a knot in the cord elastic about 1cm from the mic head.
