Controls
Threshold
Rotary Knob. Sets the leval above which compresion occurs.
Ratio
Rotary Knob. Sets the amount of compresion applied.
Attack
Rotary Knob. Determines the speed of onset of the compression. (NB - works only woth the Peak/RMS switch
in Peak mode)
Release
Rotary Knob. Determines the speed of offset of compresion. (NB - works only woth the Peak/RMS switch
in Peak mode)
Output
Rotary Knob. Varies the output level to compensate for the effects
of the compression
Peak/RMS
Switch. Toggles between Peak Mode where the compressor
responds to signal peaks, and RMS Mode, where the compressor
responds to the average signal. The latter mode preserves more
of the signals dynamic feel, but may not prevent clipping, where
signal peaks exceed a device's headroom.
Hard/Soft Knee
Switch. With Hard knee response, signals are clamped to the
limiting threshold as soon as they exced it. With soft knee response,
the signals are clamped more gently, giving a more natural sound.
Bypass
Switch. One on each channel.
Stereo link
Switch.
Gate Threshold
Rotary Pot. Sets the level above which the unit will allow signals
to pass.
Rate
Rotary Pot. Determines how fast the Gate closes when signals
fall
below the set threshold.
